After working in the food service and construction industries for several years, Rebecca decided to go to college and never looked back. She obtained her A.S. in Accounting from John A. Logan College, B.S. in Finance from Southern Illinois University, and a B.S. in Business Economics from Southern Illinois University within three years.
For a couple of years, she worked in the banking industry, then returned to college to obtain an M.B.A. in finance from Georgia State University and Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri. Rebecca managed this all while working full-time and raising her two daughters.
Though Rebecca took the Tennessee Bar and passed it, she didn’t immediately start working as an attorney. She worked in various businesses and corporate consultative roles. Rebecca gained a greater understanding and insight into how businesses work. While working as an estate planning subject matter expert for a legal software company, Rebecca obtained her LLM in Estate Planning and Elder Law from Western New England University.
She is committed to helping her clients and families navigate the legal process of planning for estates, probate, protecting assets from long-term care expenses, and business planning. Her personal attention to detail ensures that each client’s final wishes will be honored after they have passed on.
Now that her children are grown and gone, Rebecca and her husband live with their beloved pets, Cooper, the Cavalier King Spaniel, and Sammie, the Ragdoll cat. When not counseling clients, Rebecca loves to travel, volunteers as a host parent for foreign exchange students, and is an avid photographer. She is a member of the White House Chamber of Commerce, White House Rotary, Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, American Bar Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, WealthCounsel, and Woman Lawyers Association.
